Your training as a Parent Competence Coach
Especially in these challenging times, when children and young people are confronted with an increasing number of challenges, parents/guardians are looking for effective support in coping with and organizing their private and professional lives together with their children.
As part of the training to become a Parent Competence Coach, you will receive intensive and practical continuing education, further training to become a coach for parents and other persons with parental authority. The theoretical foundations of the coaching content and techniques taught are combined with real-life knowledge, practical experience and numerous real-life examples.

The training content
The training modules include the following content:
- Module 1: The coach and his attitude
- Module 2: Relaxation techniques to promote parental well-being
- Module 3: Stress management techniques/strengthening resilience for parents
- Module 4: Shaping the parent-child relationship
- Module 5: Appreciative and clear communication in the family
- Module 6: Resolving family conflicts
- Module 7: Agreements and rules in the family
- Module 8: Strengthening parental (self-)care/self-friendly handling of the pressure of expectations in the parental role
- Module 9: Dealing constructively with resistance / motivational strategies
- Module 10: More joie de vivre in everyday parent-child life
- Module 11: Paths to self-employment as a parenting skills coach/self-marketing
- Module 12: Design and presentation of a parent coaching session/parent (child) seminar unit
The main building blocks here are the enjoyment of learning and applying the module content, as well as practical relevance and sharing ideas.
Regular training sessions under supervision and in independent practice units create confidence in implementing what has been learned.
The learning process is supported by accompanying course documentation with materials for in-depth self-study, self-reflection and for use in coaching practice with parents (and their children).
The special feature of this continuing education, further training to become a parenting skills coach is, in addition to the variety of methods and techniques from very different areas, a holistic approach to teaching.
This is not just about passing on coaching tools and parent-oriented coaching methods. A central aspect is also deepening the personal ability to empathize with the world and perspective of parents and their children and to convey a zest for life and enjoyment of learning and mastering challenges.
The pillars of continuing education, further training to become a Parent Competence Coach
The training takes place within the framework of
- Online course days with the participants of the respective training cycle
- Access to a variety of course materials on the ElternKompetenzCoach learning platform for in-depth self-study and for use in future ElternKompetenzCoach practice
- 90-minute online practice sessions to try out and practise the coaching techniques for each of the 12 modules in greater depth - dates by arrangement with the course participants
- 30-minute individual coaching/intensive training for each module - individual appointments by arrangement. These individual coaching sessions/intensive training sessions can also be combined to suit the time, so that, for example, a 1-hour appointment can be arranged individually.
- Individual support with the final thesis
- 90-minute final feedback meeting
- On request, case support in the 1st quarter after completion of continuing education, further training

The Zoom times for the module weekends are:
Saturdays: 8.30 am - 1.00 pm
Sundays: 8.30 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.
The 1.5-hour consolidation times and the individual supervision times are agreed with the course participants.
If you already know that you will not be able to attend individual module days, you can still register.Individual catch-up appointments can be arranged in individual cases.
Alternative to training in course format: INDIVIDUAL TRAINING WITH FLEXIBLE COURSE TIMES
You can also complete the trainingindependent of the course timesas an individual withindividual module appointmentstake the course. In this case, the total fee is 1,250 euros in addition to the course fee of 4,998 euros. (individual installment payment possible).

Fields of activity
After completing the training, you can work as a parent coach in your own practice.
You can also benefit personally from the training when dealing with children in your environment (e.g. parents, grandparents, foster parents)
or integrate them into your existing professional activities in dealing with parents and guardians (educators, teachers, trainee teachers, sports coaches, doctors, medical staff working with children and parents, speech therapists, social pedagogues, pediatricians, music teachers, school tutors, family support childcare staff, etc.).
The training also enables you to offer specific content in educational institutions or project work, for example in kindergartens, schools or clubs.
Terms and conditions
Course fee: 4.998,- Euro
AlternativePayment in three installments: 1,700 euros before the start of the course and two installments of 1,675 euros during the course (please ask about other installment options).
Offer 1:
You can also register up to 2 additional people for continuing education, further training in course format for just 999 euros per person.
Offer 2:
Individual training with individually arranged module dates in German or English: Course fee + 1,250 euros
Offer 3:
If you would like to be trained as part of the individual training (see offer 2) as a small closed team at your desired times, you can register up to 5 additional people for 1,250 euros per person.

This online continuing education, further training can take place in German-speaking countries (Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, ...). In the case of individual training, this can take place in German or in English. Groups are trained in German.
