We combine the traditional experience of herbal medicine with modern findings from medicinal plant research. We impart professional, well-founded knowledge of medicinal plants to experts and laypeople in an understandable and esoteric way.
On the one hand, we address professionals from the fields of nursing, naturopathy, medicine, physiotherapy, nutritional counseling and similar fields, but we also offer laypeople an in-depth immersion in the world of medicinal plants.
In spring and summer we offer a wide range of herb walks in beautiful Swiss landscapes.
All courses and seminars are led by Martin Koradi. The qualified chemist and former manager of a herbal drugstore has been working full-time as a teacher of medicinal herbalism, lecturer in phytotherapy and leader of herbal walks since 1983. So you benefit from many years of experience.
We offer a wide range of courses, from evening lectures to multi-year training courses:
► Phytotherapy training:
The phytotherapy training imparts professional knowledge of medicinal plants to professionals in nursing, naturopathy, medicine, physiotherapy, nutritional counseling and similar fields - for integration into professional practice. However, it is also open to interested people without medical training who simply want to acquire the most complete "knowledge package" (after a preliminary discussion).
For participants with or without a medical background, phytotherapy training also provides a sound basis for passing on knowledge of medicinal plants in courses or on herbal excursions.
The phytotherapy training comprises 15 times 2 days spread over about 18 months. This includes 13 times 2 days in Winterthur and 2 times 2 days with herbal walks in the mountains.
►Medicinal plant seminar:
The medicinal plant seminar is a well-founded, compact course over several weekends. It is primarily aimed at people who want to use medicinal plants carefully and effectively in their private environment, but also at people interested in agriculture, horticulture, schools, etc. who want to enrich their professional field with knowledge of medicinal plants. The medicinal plant seminar comprises 5 weekends in Winterthur from September to December, or as an extended version over 6 weekends from December to June, which also includes a final weekend with herbal walks in the mountains.
►Day seminars:
One-day seminars in Winterthur provide compact information on a specific topic and are open to experts and laypeople:
☛ Medicinal plant applications for sleep disorders, anxiety and depression.
☛ Medicinal plant applications for digestion, circulation, rheumatism, cystitis and women's diseases.
☛ Medicinal plant applications for colds.
☛ Medicinal plant applications for palliative care and oncology care.
☛ Medicinal plant applications for skin diseases and wounds.
►Herb walks:
☛ With the one-day herb hikes, we start in May in the lowlands, move into the mountain spring in June and into the alpine zone in July.
☛ In July, we organize two herb hiking weeks with mountain hikes in the Bernese Oberland - in Lenk in the Simmental and in Mürren in the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
►Herb walks on the outskirts of Zurich and Winterthur:
We discover many little wonders along the way on herb walks and explore nature on the outskirts of the city (evening excursions).

► We are probably the only training institution that supports nurses who complete their phytotherapy training with us in putting medicinal plant applications into practice, for example in nursing homes, in Spitex, in psychiatry or in palliative care. We have many years of experience in this field.
