There are further education options, such as the MAS (Master of Advance Studies) or the MBA (Master of Business Administration) - or in the field of business the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), which help potential talents to become a master craftsman or woman in a specialist field and employed in a management position. For both (MAS - EMBA), you should already have sound professional experience and a Bachelor's degree. A continuing education master's degree is aimed in particular at those who have sound professional knowledge and a bachelor's degree or a federal diploma. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is aimed at the managers of tomorrow. This part-time management course opens the doors to management positions and is also ideal for professionals with no previous knowledge of business administration. Both award 60 ETCS points.

The EMBA in International Management (IM) can be structured very differently depending on the Universities. For example, the Executive MBA at Bern University of Applied Sciences in the IM specialization consists of four CAS certificate courses and a Master's thesis. "Business Administration" and "International Business Development and Sourcing" are compulsory modules, as are study trips to India, China, the USA and within Europe. Optional CASs include Change Management, Strategic Corporate Management, Business Model Innovation and Systemic and Agile Project Management.

At HSO, the EMBA consists of the courses Pre-EMBA (for students with no knowledge of business administration), Propaedeutic, Managing the Corporation, Global Business, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Finance & Risk, Compulsory Elective and Capstone Module. In addition, there are specializations in either Change Management, Marketing or Innovation Management.
