This content provides the necessary knowledge to take on challenging tasks in the electrical industry independently - whether in project management, as a specialist or in the management of a company. The four modules are called: Project Management II, Planning and Technical Processing II, Installation and Safety Expertise and Business Management. The new NIN 2025 will come into force in 2025. Until May 31, 2025, examination candidates can choose whether to take the examination in accordance with NIN 2020 or NIN 2025.

A qualified electrical installation and safety expert performs the following tasks:

  • Management tasks in an electrical installation company, electrical safety company, electrical inspection company, planning office or in industry
  • Business management tasks from planning, calculation and organization to installation and final inspection of electrotechnical installation projects
  • Central contact person for clients, architectural firms and building owners
  • carry out the necessary preliminary clarifications
  • Carry out special measurements
  • Analyze schemes and plans
  • Installation of low-voltage electrical systems
  • Assess energy generation systems and their optimization potential
  • Partial preparation of concepts, analyses and expert opinions

Anyone wishing to be admitted to an electrical installation expert and safety expert course and then to the federal examination must meet the following requirements when taking the examination:

  • Federal Professional Examination as Electrical Project Manager Installation and Safety with Federal Diploma of Higher Education or equivalent qualification
  • or Federal Diploma of Higher Education as an electrical project manager (in accordance with the regulations of 25.6.2003)
  • and at least one year of practical experience in a relevant industry after the Federal Professional Examination
  • and have the required module qualifications or certificates of equivalence and have submitted the diploma thesis
