IoT Manager: using digital transformation

In the coming years, the Internet of Things will increasingly find its way into private households and companies, physical objects and sensors will be networked with virtual ones and the efficiency and accuracy of many work processes will be simplified as a result. Today, parcels can already be tracked by the parcel recipient via the delivery company's website thanks to their unique identification using a 2D code or barcode. In the future, many work processes in industry will also be linked to Internet of Things technology, but how do you set up an ioT platform, what is the legal situation, what hardware, actuators and sensors are needed and what role does security play?

These and many other questions are clarified in the CAS IoT Manager (new: CAS Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT)) training course and realized in your own project. Participants in the course are accompanied along the way, from developing ideas for a project or product to creating their own prototype. To this end, IT managers, software architects, consultants, managers, application managers, administrators and enablers from IT-related fields as well as other IT-savvy individuals receive intensive training on Fridays and Saturdays over the course of three months. They develop skills in Smart Building, Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory and Smart City and learn about business models and management approaches.

The CAS IoT Manager (new: CAS Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT)) is divided into four modules, which deal with the basics of AIoT, digital ecosystems, in-depth AIoT and subscription models as well as integration.

Questions and answers

Prerequisites for participation in the CAS Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital Ecosystem (UAS) (new: CAS Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) (UAS)) are a degree at continuing education and training / tertiary level, University of Applied Sciences, University, Technical College, College of Higher Education and others and at least 2 years of professional experience after graduation.

Persons with equivalent qualifications and several years of professional experience can be accepted "sur dossier".

The head of degree program decides on final admission.

The CAS Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital Ecosystem (new: CAS Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) (UAS)) can be extended to the following MAS.

  • MAS Business Intelligence
  • MAS Business Process Management
  • MAS Digital Business Management
  • MAS IT Network Manager

A CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) is a further education qualification from a Universities.

  • Duration: Usually 1 semester part-time
  • Title: "Certificate of Advanced Studies in (subject)"
  • Recognition: International comparability via ECTS points
  • ECTS points (European Credit Transfer System = international credit points)
