There are courses that last a few days, but also those that last longer, for example a few weeks and/or months.

These differences in the length of training are due to the fact that the schools put together their own training programs.

The course costs for a creative writing seminar can vary greatly depending on the provider and duration, ranging from CHF 340 to almost CHF 3,000 and more.

There is no federally recognized training or continuing education, further training in the field of creative writing, but there is a related advanced training course with Federal Professional Examination (FPE) to become a copywriter with a Federal Certificate of Proficiency.

A creative writing course is usually open to anyone who wants to develop and promote their talent for speaking and writing, who enjoys working with words and written text, who wants to learn how to express themselves authentically and create new worlds, who wants to refine their writing style and pay attention to the smallest nuances, who not only wants to convey facts with their writing, but also create images to move other people, inspire them, make them sit up and take notice, amaze them, disturb them, move them to tears, ... .

A distance learning course at an established distance learning school is basically no different to a classroom-based school where you attend lessons once a week. However, the great advantage of a distance learning course is that you can get creative exactly when you feel like it, without having to take course times into consideration.
