The following admission criteria apply to the Federal Professional Examination for Insurance Specialists:
- Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Federal VET Diploma, apprenticeship certificate) as a private insurance clerk and 2 years of professional experience in the insurance sector
or
- Other Federal VET Diploma, completion of a federally recognized commercial secondary school or Baccalaureate, passed the "VBV insurance intermediary" exam and 3 years of professional experience in the insurance sector
or
- Passed the "Versicherungsvermittler VBV" exam and 5 years of professional experience, including 3 years in the insurance sector
and
- Proof of the required valid module certificates or confirmation of equivalence
