The final examination of the Insurance Broker VBV course is divided into a written and an oral examination. The written examination takes place twice a year in examination centers and covers knowledge of the insurance industry, social and personal insurance as well as liability insurance, property insurance and other asset insurance for businesses and private households, as well as legal knowledge. In the oral examination for the insurance brokerage certificate, candidates can choose between the topics "Small businesses" and "Private households: Self-employed persons, families, individuals" and have to go through an advisory and sales situation in a fictitious customer meeting.

To complete the VBV insurance broker course, you do not necessarily need experience in insurance brokerage or in another area of the insurance industry. The course is also suitable for people who want to acquire special knowledge in order to be able to work in insurance brokerage and insurance consulting in the future. In addition to newcomers to the industry, the seminar is also recommended for brokers already working in the insurance industry or sales representatives who want to obtain a recognized certificate.

The duration of continuing education, further training in the field of insurance brokerage varies depending on the provider, offer and target group.
