Each training provider is responsible for regulating the content of the payroll accounting training. Possible contents taught include the recording of company data, personnel master data and insurance master data and their maintenance (preparatory payroll accounting), the management and allocation of insurance solutions, wage parts management, the processing of the payroll run through payroll accounting posting records and printing of payroll accounting as well as year-end evaluations in the context of payroll accounting.

The cost of a payroll accounting course can vary greatly depending on the school and duration. You can expect to pay between CHF 400 and CHF 650 for a one- to two-day course, or around CHF 4,000 for a comprehensive course as part of a Paroll further training program, for example to become a personnel assistant.

In addition to federal continuing education, further training courses in the field of payroll accounting are of course also offered, such as a course to become a personnel assistant lasting six weeks as an intensive course or one semester as a vocational course. Some schools also offer seminars lasting one or two days.
