SVEB instructor - implementation of learning events (former SVEB course instructor): Entry into adult education

Would you like to professionally design and conduct learning events in the context of adult education? The SVEB instructor course - conducting learning events (until 2023: SVEB-1 course instructor) forms the foundation for good course management. You will acquire sound methodological and didactic skills and train corresponding social skills. As an SVEB trainer, you will pass on your specialist knowledge to other adults systematically and with a high degree of practical relevance. The course also discusses needs and experiences from the participants' professional fields. The SVEB certificate attests to your ability to professionally design and conduct teaching units.

SVEB trainer (formerly SVEB course instructor): Conducting learning events with adults

SVEB trainers - implementation of learning events (until 2023 the qualification was called SVEB-1 course instructor) usually work part-time in adult education in business, administration or social institutions. Their main task in training or HR departments and in schools is to design and run learning events in their specialist area. In this SVEB course, you can acquire the necessary specialist knowledge and skills to professionally prepare, conduct and evaluate training units with adults in your specialist area. It is suitable for trainers, supervisors with training functions, HR specialists, course leaders in educational institutions or specialists who are new to adult education. During the course, you will deal with the following learning content:

  • Teaching concepts and learning processes
  • Curricula
  • Teaching aids
  • Prepare learning events (visible learning, use of media, innovative learning environment)
  • Conduct teaching units
  • Evaluating teaching success (perceiving and assessing learning performance)

After successfully completing the SVEB Instructor - Conducting Learning Events course (formerly SVEB Course Leader), the Swiss Association for Continuing Education, Further Training (SVEB) certificate can be obtained by providing proof of practical experience. For the SVEB certificate, the necessary practical experience in leading learning events (150 hours, of which at least 100 with 3 or more adults) must be demonstrated within 2 years. This qualification is now regarded as the minimum standard in many training institutions and companies.

Das SVEB-Zertifikat Kursleiter SVEB / Kursleiterin SVEB (neu: Ausbilder SVEB /Ausbilderin SVEB) richtet sich primär an die Erwachsenenbildung. Für den Unterricht von Jugendlichen sind spezifische Qualifikationen erforderlich. Es ist wichtig, die Zielgruppe und die entsprechenden Anforderungen zu berücksichtigen.

Die SVEB-Zertifikat Kursleiterin Kosten (neu SVEB Ausbilder) für den Kurs liegen in der Regel zwischen CHF 3900 und CHF 4700, inklusive Lehrmittel. Zusätzliche Gebühren für die Ausstellung des Zertifikats können anfallen. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, finanzielle Unterstützung durch Subventionen des Bundes zu erhalten, insbesondere wenn eine Weiterqualifikation zum eidgenössischen Fachausweis Ausbilderin/Ausbilder angestrebt wird.

Für den Erwerb des SVEB-Zertifikats Kursleiterin/Kursleiter - heute SVEB - Zertifikat Ausbilder / Ausbilderin - sind folgende Voraussetzungen erforderlich:

  • Erfolgreicher Abschluss des entsprechenden Kurses
  • Nachweis von mindestens 150 Stunden Praxiserfahrung in der Erwachsenenbildung, davon mindestens 100 Stunden in Gruppenunterricht
  • Teilnahme an den vorgesehenen Modulen und Reflexion des persönlichen Lernprozesses

Diese Anforderungen gewährleisten, dass die Teilnehmenden über die notwendigen Kompetenzen für die Erwachsenenbildung verfügen.

Die Dauer «SVEB-Kurs» für das SVEB-Zertifikat Kursleiter/Kursleiterin resp. neu Ausbilder/Ausbilderin variiert je nach Anbieter und Modell. Üblicherweise erstreckt sich der Kurs über einen Zeitraum von 5 bis 12 Monaten. Es werden sowohl Präsenzunterricht als auch Selbstlernphasen angeboten, um eine praxisnahe Ausbildung zu gewährleisten

Das SVEB-Zertifikat Kursleiter/in (heute SVEB Ausbilder/in) bescheinigt die Fähigkeit, Lernveranstaltungen für Erwachsene zu planen und durchzuführen. Im Gegensatz dazu ist das SVEB 1-Zertifikat eine spezifische Bezeichnung innerhalb des SVEB-Systems, das seit 2023 nicht mehr verwendet wird. The education platform Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch conducted a survey to clarify this question. According to the results of the survey, 57% of all those interested in training are still finding out whether the SVEB - Zertifikat Ausbilder / Ausbilderin (Zert.) (formerly SVEB - Zertifikat Kursleiter / Kursleiterin (Zert.)) course meets their own needs. 27 %, on the other hand, are interested in further training through recommendations. 16% of survey participants are interested in the SVEB certificate, as this is often required in job advertisements. In the experience of our training consultants, most people who are interested in this further training are those who want to take on a new role in adult education or are already doing so and would like to acquire the necessary basic knowledge. This impression is also confirmed by most of these comments when stating optional reasons for their interest in the SVEB course:
