Vocational education and training in the hospitality and housekeeping sector is available at two levels:
Hotel and Housekeeping Specialist, Federal VET Diploma
The three-year vocational education and training (VET) program provides comprehensive practical skills in the areas of professional conduct and communication, serving food and beverages, cleaning and arranging rooms, ensuring the supply of linens, and organizing and implementing operational procedures.
The Federal VET Diploma program offers two areas of specialization: hospitality and housekeeping. The training prepares students for a wide range of roles in various service-oriented businesses.

Hotel and Housekeeping Technician (Federal VET Certificate)
The two-year vocational education and training program is highly practical in nature. Apprentices acquire fundamental vocational skills in guest services, customer service, food service, housekeeping and room preparation, the laundry cycle, and operational procedures.
After successfully completing the Federal VET Certificate, students have the option to continue their training to become a Hotel and Housekeeping Specialist (Federal VET Diploma). The Federal VET Certificate counts as one year toward the Federal VET Diploma program.
The training takes place at three different locations: the training company, the vocational school, and inter-company courses. This combines practical experience, vocational expertise, and inter-company skills.
